This is an antioxidant that works alongside the mineral selenium in your body and helps to protect against damage of cells caused by free radicals (Atoms and molecules that can damage cells in your body).
Vitamin E also has its contribution to the bodies cardiovascular health.
The best source of this vitamin can be found in foods such as vegetable oils, legumes and green leafy vegetables.
A lot of cereals and jams such as marmalade in particular are packed with vitamin E.
As this vitamin is fat soluble any excess your body has it will store for another time or if it needs it.
