These are broken down by the body into glucose which is the that the body uses for energy.
Carbohydrates can be found in many forms such as simple sugars, complex starches and fibre.
Unprocessed foods such as veg, fruit, legumes and whole grains for example are high in good carbohydrates.
Carbohydrates can be found in many basics such as white rice, white bread, potatoes, cakes and cookies also, these are in the form of starches or sugars.
